Ezzie

Ezzie is growing up way too fast!!! At 4 months she weighs in at 13lbs 5oz and is 26 inches long. She is an awesome baby and has some of the greatest facial expressions ever!
She has become quite the smiley baby over the last six weeks.

Though she still has her trademarked concerned expression most of the time.

She is also quite the talker.

She can now hold her own bottle with occasional assistance.

She is extremely stubborn!!! She kept refusing to have her pic taken.

And she is the only girl I know that can be grumpy with a tiara on her head.

When she wears her headbands, I frequently find this when I go to take her out of the car.

And due to her very curly hair, we have some seriously impressive hair days!

She hates this little outfit, but it almost always puts her to sleep.

She was seriously fascinated with the Christmas lights and would spend at least 20 minutes watching them.

Grandma C bought her some Christmas pjs. I'm thinking the bottoms were a little big. :)

This pic was taken seconds after the last. What a sweetheart!!!

Despite being so young, Ezzie really got into unwrapping the presents. She seemed a little confused though.

As long as you wrapped her fingers around the paper, she would tear away. (She's going to need Botox between those eyebrows by the time she's 2!!!)

Santa brought her an Exersaucer and she looks sooooo cute in it. She loves to stare at herself in the mirror.

She is now officially eating food from a spoon.

Which really is nothing new since Daddy has been sneaking her food for months!!! Birthday cake anyone?

Though she enjoys her cereal, she is less than impressed with her highchair!

Though it's great to sleep in. I went to mix her cereal and minutes later this is what I found. So much for dinner.

She has the greatest pouty face ever!!!

And easily rocks the mohawk!

She's an excellent sleeper!!! Yay for me!!!!!!

And is currently working on solving world peace.

I love these piggy pjs. Check out the feet. I can only imagine what she's thinking right now. :)

She LOVES her big brother!!! If he's in the room, she's watching him. She loves to play with his hair and he is always more than happy to help.

Along with the impressive control of her eyebrows Ezzie is doing awesome!!! We adore her and love having her in our home. She makes a perfect addition to our family!

Tayeson

Tayeson is still LOVING Kindergarten and is the best big brother ever!!! He is learning how to read and spell and is constantly shouting out words he sees as we go places.
He has also found many new uses for his little sister.

I bought this Christmas tree this year and he officially claimed it his since he is the same height as the tree.

He absolutely loves his baby sis. He is constantly fawning over her and making sure she has what she needs.

He had a great time reading the names on the gifts and passing them out this year.

He had a Christmas program at school in December. It was soooo cute!!! The little girl in this pic is his current squeeze. You heard me right. As they walked back to class he had his arm around her waist the whole time!!! Aren't they supposed to go through a girls are gross phase?

They learned the sign language for Jingle Bells and he did awesome!

He loved making gingerbread houses and was extremely proud of his creation.

Unlike Daddy, Tayeson was very good this year and Santa rewarded him handsomely as usual.

He has formed quite the attachment to his "rainbow shirt" that was given to him by Grandpa and Grandma Ames while we were in Denver.

He still loves having his very own "park" (backyard) to play in anytime he wants. Poor city kid!

They are learning about animals and their habitats in school and here is the lion he sculpted out of clay for his diorama. LOVE IT!!!

He is sooo proud of his little sis and is constantly needing to be by her side.

One of the local fire stations had an open house and we were able to play on and explore the fire engines. You like the chocolate chip cookies that are all over his face? He did too.
Tayeson continues to grow up entirely too fast. I'm insanely jealous that his teacher gets to spend most of the day with him. He is such a great kid and we're truly blessed to have him in our family.

Family Pics

While we were in Philly we had our family pics taken. Danica was soooo awesome and squeezed us in last minute and as you can see we all braved the rain for some really cute shots. I'm totally heart broken that she will be moving soon and won't be available to us anymore. :( Thanks again Danica you're awesome!!! Check Danica out HERE.

Catch Up

Time for some long overdue updates on the fam. This fall we took a drive up through Smuggler's Notch during the height of the fall colors. It was sooooo BEAUTIFUL!!! We hiked around a bit and attended a local fine arts fair while we were there. I couldn't pick just one so you'll have to endure several of my fave pics.
Right in our own backyard!

In October we spent a long weekend down in Philly. We figured we'd go down, show off the babe and spend some much needed time with old friends. Besides we couldn't miss our Halloween trip to Linvilla with the Montgomerys , it's tradition! We had a really great time and were able to catch up with many of our close friends that are still in the area.

Thanks again Montgomery's for letting us crash at your place!

We had a great time raking up all of the leaves this fall. T was a huge help and loved jumping in all of the piles in the yard.

Dad turned 30 in November and Mom turned 25 again this year. :) We also celebrated our 7th anniversary!!!

This Christmas we made the usual trip to see Santa at the mall. We took the camera to grab some quick picks with the big man. When we got there we saw a sign informing us that if we wanted pics we had to buy them, which I think is ridiculous!!! So, Eric took the camera and the super zoom lens and stood back in a little kiosk behind the girl taking the official pics. All of a sudden I see this bright flash and hear the camera's shutter click. The girl turned around and gave Eric the dirtiest look I've ever seen. I was trying so hard not to laugh! The best part was that even after the death glare, he still continued to snap a couple more shots!!! As a result of Eric's stolen pictures, he received several lumps of coal in his stocking Christmas morning.
We also spent some time this holiday season making gingerbread houses. We had a great time together and had a better outcome than the gingerbread disaster of 2008 (See previous post here). We had a great Christmas, just the four of us, here in Vermont. We also enjoyed a nice low key New Year as a family. We are anxiously looking forward to a less hectic year.

Now if we can just figure out what we're supposed to do with all of this.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
