Canyon Lake

On our last day in San Antonio we were able to spend some more time at Canyon Lake. Eric's Aunt Shar took us to a private beach owned by the Air Force. While we were there we were able to rent a canoe. We had a blast paddling around the lake and playing on the beach. Thanks Uncle Earl and Aunt Shar!!! We had a great time in Texas.

A quick picture before we shoved off.

Tayeson loved to help Dad paddle the canoe. He is such a big boy.

Eric enjoying the sun and a quick break from school.

Tayeson saw this rock and even though it probably weighed as much as he does, he knew that it had to go in the water.

After some serious straining he was able to lift it and was prepared for launch.

All of his hard work paid off with a pretty impressive splash. So much so that...

...He went searching for it so he could attempt round two. Being that the rock was a little more slippery when its wet, he quickly gave up this quest in lieu of another.

Since he needed to regain his strength from the last rock he decided to settle for a handful of little pebbles with a much more elaborate release.

T had a blast climbing all over this tree that was stuck just off the beach.

T and Daddy had a lot of fun paddling around the swimming area. Before they would push off T would fill the canoe with rocks that he could throw in the water while they were out. I guess he wanted to make sure he wouldn't get bored.
He was such a good helper to Daddy. If it weren't for him they may still be stuck in the middle of the lake. :)
