Sea World San Antonio

While we were in San Antonio we were able to go to Sea World. Though it was over 100 degrees, we had a blast. T loved all of the animals and has even asked to go back and watch the whales. Finally, something that has made enough of an impression that he has asked to do it again!!! Below are some pics of our day.

Tayeson wanted to see and feed the dolphins. When we got to the pool he was anxiously watching and waiting for the dolphins to come by.

Finally he got his chance.

He was so excited that the dolphin had stopped to say hi.

He was completely fascinated by the dolphins. I'm pretty sure he could have stayed and watched them all day.

He was so excited at the prospect of feeding and petting them but when the time came he was a little more afraid then he had anticipated. He has always been very cautious, which is not always a bad thing. He still had fun dropping the stinky fish into the dolphin's mouth.
Eric was able to pet a couple different dolphins. Their skin has a really waxy feel to it. I'm amazed at how gentle they are.

When we ran out of fish T decided to try and lure them with his fishy face. Unfortunately it didn't work as well as he would have liked. I will give him an E for effort though.

T saw the Shamu roller coaster and decided that it was something he would like to try. Due to his cautious nature Eric and I were both totally surprised that he would even consider riding it. (He won't even ride the 50 cent cars that you find at the stores. You know, the ones that just rock back and forth!!!) Please note the look of absolute horror on his face. As you can probably guess, once was enough for him. :)
The rest of the pics are just some random cool shots that we caught.

Shamu jumping for the ball. May I also add that since we were able to pet the dolphins T felt that he should be able to pet the whale too. When we explained that no one gets to pet Shamu things rapidly went downhill from there. There's nothing quite like carrying a kicking and screaming three year old up a huge flight of stairs in 100 degree heat while everyone stares at you. Man I love my son!!!! :) After he calmed down we explained that he can pet Shamu if he goes to school to be a marine biologist. Oddly enough, that seemed to satisfy him.

One of the dolphins during their show.

A beluga whale during the dolphin show. This picture does no justice to how white they really are.

A group of four dolphins at the end of the dolphin show.

Whitney, You have been busy this summer. It is always nice to spend time with family. I can't believe that Taeyson is 4. He is just so cute!
